I’m a mom of five and founder of Town & Gown Sitters. I started this service in State College, Pennsylvania because I lived in a college town, I saw the need firsthand, and I knew the solution was right down the road.
College towns are uniquely positioned for this. The students studying education, child development, and nursing at universities across the country aren't just looking for a side gig, they're building careers around working with children. They're qualified, they're motivated, and they're right there in your community.
The missing piece was someone to connect them to families the right way. With real vetting. Real matching. Real accountability.
